Dr. Gatwiri is a lecturer at the Department of Business Administration, with interest in Entrepreneurship Development, Business Planning, Social Entrepreneurship, Project Management, Small Policy development and Entrepreneurial Networking.
Her passion is on entrepreneurship and the youth, especially transforming as many youths as possible to be entrepreneurs who will become job creators rather than job seekers after successful completions of their programs in KeMU.
Dr. Gatwiri has been involved in training the youth and women on entrepreneurial skills, creation and management of income generating activities, business planning, business pitching and financial literacy. Currently she is running a mentorship program for the teens in Nairobi.
Dr. Gatwiri is a founder member of Kenya Methodist University and a member of Africa Management Academy (AFAM). She is involved in community service whereby she serves in various school boards for instance Loreto convent Msongari, MCK Ruaraka School, a Leader of Community Life Group which is involved in supporting the KeMU fraternity members during distress and celebration of achievements. Additionally, Dr. Gatwiri is a member of the Erabui Foundation which is involved in sponsoring the education of needy children in Ntumburi, Buuri Constituency Meru County.
