Cynthia Chebet, a 3rd-year student at the Department of Computer Science, has won a full scholarship to attend the 2020 Grace Hopper Conference (GHC). GHC is the largest celebration of women in computing in the world and brings together top tech companies, mentors, and exclusive workshops on professional development and career growth. She was selected from a strong group of applicants and her application stood out based on merit and purpose. Cynthia worked on her application under the mentorship of Dr. Chao Mbogho, the Dean School of Science and Technology.

Cynthia is the third KeMU student to receive this coveted scholarship after Nyariak Deng in 2016 and Barbara Omukhango in 2018, both Computer Science students.
