40 mentors of the KeMU Mentorship Club participated in a Sanitary towel drive where they visited 3 schools and donated Sanitary towels to the young girls. This was an idea that was born in July 2016 when a group of mentors were concerned about the state of need amongst school going girls in regard to limited access to sanitary towels. This prompted them into action and the university management showed full support and goodwill. The initiative was tagged “Adopt a Girl Campaign” #adotpagirl. The initiative was organized by a brilliant committee chaired by Faith Wangeci, Jackson Bassey (Mr. Ghetto Kenya), Jackline Oyire (Miss KeMU Main Campus 2015/2016), Nickson Ongera (Mr. KeMU 2015/2016) and Victor Mwenda. This committee was given mandate by the Office of the Dean of Students, Mr. Jeff Kubai.
