Bachelor of Education and Counseling

Objective

 

The goal of the programme is to train competent Educators and Counselors to work in schools, colleges and other institutions in Kenya and the world at large. The prospective educator/counselor is expected to influence society with positive moral and spiritual values. Furthermore, the programme prepares students for chaplancy and counseling positions.

 

In line with the University's mission, the Department of Education and Counseling aims at training leaders to play their part in society, by equipping them with knowledge and skills on the ways they can meet the challenges facing individuals and communities. 

Admission Requirements

 

  • University entry requirements
  • At least a pass in English and Mathematics.

 

Specialisation Areas:

Specialization Options:

Option 1: Teacher Education Major

This option aims at training competent educators to work in Secondary schools, Teacher Training Colleges and other educational institutions.

 

Option 2: Christian Education Major.

This options prepares students to play their role in society, by learning about their faith and the ways in which they can meet the challenges facing individuals and communities.

 

Option 3:Counseling Major

This option trains counselors who can influence the society with positive moral and spiritual values.
