Meru Campus Hosts Symposium: “Healing the Human Person”

Meru, Kenya – Thur and Fri, 23rd and 24th October 2014; KeMU hosted a tripartite symposium that was the first of its kind in the university. The event was held at the University Chapel, Main Campus. The symposium titled "Healing the Human Person" brought together the Department of Theology, Religious Studies and Counseling (formerly the Department of Theology and Religious Studies, and the Department of Counseling), as well as the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, to explore the holistic approach to the healing process.

Nairobi Campus Students Visit American Resource Center

 

kemu-arcNairobi, Kenya - 15th October 2014;  KeMU Nairobi Campus students visited the American Reference Center (ARC) located at the American Embassy in Nairobi . The visit was as a result of an initiative by a team of four KeMU staff led by Mary Kiguru, who visited the ARC in the month of August and expressed interest in partnering with them and taking KeMU students for a visit.

Nyeri Campus: CSR Activity

 

kemu-nyeri-csr4Nyeri, Kenya - Wed, 8th October 2014; The KeMU Nyeri Family recently visited St. Joseph Allamano Special School for Mentally Disabled Children to share some time, love, gifts, good cheer, and have good moments with the kids. The event was uplifting and was a lot of fun as students and staff really enjoyed playing, singing and even having a meal with the children at the home.

KeMU Communication and Journalism Students Scoop Top Award in University Challenge

 

kemu-journalismNakuru, Kenya - 16th - 18th October, 2014; The Department of Communication and Journalism participated in the Top Story Investigative Journalism University Challenge 2014. KeMU Communication and Journalism Students emerged as the winners of the first African edition of the Top Story Investigative Journalism, University Challenge 2014 by presenting the best investigative news story piece.

KeMU Rugby: 1st Runners up at 2014 Mt. Kenya 10s

9Nanyuki, Kenya - 18th October, 2014; KeMU Pitbulls (Meru Campus) partcipated in the Mount Kenya 10s aside over the weekend in Nanyuki, Laikipia county. They defeated several teams including the British Army, Whales Guide - Fiji, and formar champions Kenyatta University.  The Pitbulls made it to the finals against Home Boys Club and received the 1st runners up trophy as well as a cash prize for their achievement.
