KeMU hosts Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment

On Friday 11/1/19, KeMU hosted a team from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) for an intended partnership in training and research, through the KeMU Center for Leadership and Professional Development (CLPD). These were Mr. Kevin Moore, the Director of Global Business Development (from the United Kingdom) and Mr. Kimacia Gitau, the Representative of CISI in Eastern Africa. Present in the meeting were Dr Karanja (Principal - Nairobi Campus), Rev. Manyara (Ass. University Chaplain), Mr. Muthee (Deputy Registrar –AA), Mr. Michael Wanyoike (Finance Department), Rose Ndurungi (Finance Department) and Dr. Winfred Kithinji (CLPD & Host). Keeping with the discussion, KeMU will become the first university offering CISI qualifications in Eastern Africa. These are short courses taking a duration of 60-80 hours and examinations are flexibly administered online (see: www.cisi.org). Specifically, all KeMU students will benefit from the partnership through a 50% discount on examination fees.
